About

Data at Deely is not a support function. It is infrastructure. You will build the systems that let the company understand what is working, move fast with confidence, and make decisions grounded in reality. We want someone who thinks about data with ownership, craft, and a bias toward usefulness.

Responsibilities

Build the Data Platform

Design and maintain scalable pipelines that ingest, transform, and serve data across the business. Own the architecture end to end.

Instrument and Track

Work with product and engineering to define and implement tracking. Ensure events are clean, consistent, and trustworthy across all surfaces.

Enable Self-Service Analytics

Build the models, dashboards, and tools that let non-technical teams answer their own questions. Reduce bottlenecks and increase leverage.

Ensure Data Quality

Put systems in place to catch and prevent bad data. Treat data quality as a product requirement, not an afterthought.

Support Experimentation

Build the infrastructure that powers A/B testing and experiment analysis. Help teams run faster and learn from results reliably.

Partner on Strategic Decisions

Translate business questions into data problems and deliver clear answers. Help leadership understand what the numbers actually mean.

Requirements

Experience

3+ years in a data engineering or analytics engineering role. You have built pipelines and models that people actually rely on.

Technical Depth

Strong with SQL, dbt, and at least one orchestration tool like Airflow or Dagster. Comfortable with Python for scripting and transformation.

Systems Thinking

You design for scale, not just for today. You think about reliability, latency, and maintainability when making architecture decisions.

Business Acumen

You understand the difference between metrics that matter and metrics that look good. You connect data work to business outcomes.

Communication

You write clearly and explain technical decisions to non-technical stakeholders without losing precision.

Ownership Mindset

You treat the data platform like a product. You monitor it, improve it proactively, and care about whether people actually find it useful.
