Responsibilities
Lead and Grow Engineers
Manage a team of 6 to 10 engineers. Run effective one-on-ones, give clear feedback, and help people develop skills and career direction.
Drive Delivery
Own the end-to-end delivery of your team's roadmap. Remove blockers, coordinate dependencies, and keep the team moving without micromanaging.
Shape Technical Strategy
Partner with senior engineers to set the technical direction. Make architecture decisions that balance speed, reliability, and long-term health.
Hire and Build Culture
Contribute to hiring by sourcing, interviewing, and evaluating candidates. Build a team culture that attracts strong people and retains them.
Raise the Bar on Quality
Set clear standards for code quality, testing, and incident response. Build a culture where quality is owned by the team, not enforced from above.
Represent Engineering
Communicate clearly with product, design, and leadership. Translate technical complexity into business context and vice versa.
Requirements
Experience
5+ years of software engineering with at least 2 years in a formal or informal engineering management role.
Technical Credibility
You can engage deeply in technical discussions, review architecture decisions, and earn respect through substance, not title.

You invest in your team. You know your reports as individuals and care about their growth as much as their output.
Communication
You write and speak with precision. You give feedback directly and receive it without defensiveness.
